People buy and sell in anticipation of future events. Very often, when good or bad earnings for a quarter are actually announced, there is little movement in the stock's price, because the market had already bid the stock up or down in anticipation of the news.Bob Juch wrote:Quite a bit! I don't think people are selling now because of what they think is going to happen in the election. But if they are, since most people assume Obama is going to win, that would indicate little confidence in his ability to handle the crisis. For what it's worth, I have little faith in either candidate's ability to handle the situation. So much will depend on who gets picked for Secretary of the Treasury and how much freedom the new president gives the Secretary.
