Re: Gwen Ifill
Best thing she did all night was one thing I've not seen before, and always wanted to see: after both candidates danced around a question, throwing out talking points rather than answering the question that was asked, she pointed out that neither of them actually answered the question, and that she would get back to it.Beebs52 wrote:has done a most excellent job. The candidates pull that stunt at every 'debate' (these are not really 'debates,' they are mutual press conferences) I've ever watched, and it was refreshing to see them get called on it.

Jim Lehrer did the same in the 1st debate, though not as poignantly.wintergreen48 wrote:Best thing she did all night was one thing I've not seen before, and always wanted to see: after both candidates danced around a question, throwing out talking points rather than answering the question that was asked, she pointed out that neither of them actually answered the question, and that she would get back to it.Beebs52 wrote:has done a most excellent job. ..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.
