It goes on to talk about me maybe having bad credentials.

still works if I know an address, but not as a browser.

Oh groovy. If I hit "search", a teeny-tiny browser window does pop up. Open up. Whatever. Hey, that's all I need. Occasionally embarassing headlines, begone!

The plot sickens; now they're trying to get me to download IE#8 as a beta tester.

Having already been a sub-alpha-tester for a supposedly "perfect" (as in the perpetrators responded with Claude Rainesian shock & horror at end-users' accusing them of using us as beta-testers) new system I have to use at work, I will decline this option.
