I just caught the opening monologue from tonight's SNL on my DVR. It featured Katie Couric interviewing Sarah Palin (played by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey). After a few questions, Palin said that she wanted to use a lifeline and she needed to phone a friend.
I thought tonight's effort was pretty weak compared to the very funny Palin skit two weeks ago, but it's nice to see that SNL still considers WWTBAM culturally relevant.

But they're obviously not up-to-date on the new rules, otherwise they'd have had Ogi appearing as the Ask the Expert.TheConfessor wrote: I thought tonight's effort was pretty weak compared to the very funny Palin skit two weeks ago, but it's nice to see that SNL still considers WWTBAM culturally relevant.
"What do you think the answer is, Sarah?"

It was pretty funny -- but Poehler (pregnant or not), should never again try to play Katie Couric -- her impression was so bad it was distracting. And I love Amy Poehler! That just wasn't her best bit. I thought of her playing Meredith, too.dimmzy wrote:I agree. If only they had Poehler in a brunette wig as Meredith!
The blinking was pretty funny though.
All those foreigners at the UN! Well, when we're elected we're just gonna get those jobs back for Amurrkans! Snork!
