Just listening at work to a Pledge Drive on our local Jazz radio station. During the first two hours of the Drive, the DJ announced that they had not received any phone calls!

Is your business doing as badly as your avatar implies, dodgersteve?

You don't have your clients invested in those mortgage derivatives, I hope!

Yes and No. No one big has "bolted" in fact I am Plus 2 on new accounts versus cancellations. No Extra Funds and hence little or no extra $$$'s in the months when the Quarterly Retainers are not paid. So it is very tight. Been here before, I started the biz in 87 and when almost out of biz right at the start. Not taking anything for granted because now I see a lot of meat and not just the fat of the financial planning industry quitting for good.
I can always buy a tax franchise like a Jackson Hewitt if the investment world dies before me.

No actually the only "Mortgage backed securities" that we got hurt on to the tune of minus 10% this year, were those damned Mortgage Backed Calif. Muni Bonds. All of those positions are done! :x
