Isn't happening. --Bob
Well, I have trouble with the courts reasoning-

official ruling here
Appellate courts get a lot of petitions for discretionary relief -- far more than they can realistically address on the merits. It is the practice of every appellate court that I'm familiar with (including the United States Supreme Court) to deny the vast majority of such petitions summarily (i.e., without explaining their reasoning). This isn't nefarious -- it's a simple reflection of the fact that there aren't enough hours in the day to get a majority of the court to agree on a reasoned statement explaining the denial.

In other words, there's nothing remarkable about the form of the order, and certainly nothing remarkable about its result. --Bob

George Will is in love with the sound of his own voice too often for my liking, but he gets it about baseball over football, so he's okay on that front...
My favorite George Will quote: "Football combines the two worst parts of American life: violence interrupted by committee meetings."
ROFL!!!

I admit I wouldn't find that so funny if my Mighty Broncos weren't 3-0.

George Will's views (and use of thesaurus) are sometimes over the edge. However, he IS a Chicago Cubs fan, so I let it slide...

This is too funny, Bob. Look at your source. I would no more believe anything MSNBC / NBC wrote about McCain than I would MoveOn.
It may be posted on MSNBC, but it's got an AP byline. I've heard some local news/scuttlebutt about it, too. Just based on what I've heard and past reporting on other independent/third party candidates, this suit has not chance of getting anywhere, because the judges who will hear it are all Dem/Rep, and they will not let it get started.
This was in the Dallas Morning News, and I posted it here last Friday.
