Answers and Points Timeline, Game 11, Monday September 15
I was just saying to myself the other day, "You know what this board needs more of? Politics!" Seriously what gives, people? Don't you know that there's an election going on? Who's with me on this?
So I picked a subject at which I thought everybody would excel. "Presidential Vices." Ha!
Beings it's Monday, nothing too elaborate. I give you the Prez, you give me the year he first took office (not elected, no mercy for those who don't pay attention to the opener) and his vice president. If there was more than one VP, I want the first one (you'll see the start of a theme, until I ran out of options).
Scoring: Perfect (exact year) = 5 points
Close (+/- 2 years) = 4 points
Ballpark (+/- 5 years) 2 points
Universe (correct decade) = 1 point
10 additional points for each VP, plus the bonus, for a total of 165 points possible today.
Timeline - September 15
"Presidential Vices"

2. Calvin Coolidge
3. Bill Clinton
4. Benjamin Harrison
5. William Harrison
6. Andrew Jackson
7. Richard Nixon
8. Franklin Roosevelt
9. Theodore Roosevelt
10. George Washington
Bonus: Only one president has ever been sworn in by a woman (think about it for a minute). 5 points for the president and 10 points for the lady giving the oath.

4. Benjamin Harrison: 1889, ?
5. William Harrison: 1841, Tyler

Lyndon Johnson, on Air Force One, Nov. 22, 1963. And since I can't think of the judge's name, I'll guess Sarah Day O'Connor, just in case I'm wrong about LBJ.

Sir, Mr. Garner had the delicate sensibilities of his former constituents as his concern. He may have thought of you, but he said my name.Bucket of Warm Piss wrote:Off your high horse, Warm Spit. It's traditionally the Chief Justice, so I'm thinking it must have been one of the "non-traditional" swearing ins. I'm drawing a blank - Harry Truman?

If there was more than one VP, I want the first one (you'll see the start of a theme, until I ran out of options).

Ballpark (+/- 5 years) 2 points
Universe (correct decade) = 1 point
10 additional points for each VP, plus the bonus, for a total of 165 points possible today.

Most everyone got LBJ, congrats to those few who also got Sarah T. Hughes. (I wouldn't have gotten her name. Before I wrote this, of course. Ha!)
I was originally going for an "All John" VP list, but I ran out partway through. So I threw in a couple of Chucks and then just went for the fun names (Levi, Spiro).
