Technical note: TinyURL takes you directly to the site you're linking to, without making you stop at a page full of ads, first.
Technical note #2: Using the Bored's URL tags, you can create a link around any descriptive phrase in a post. That keeps an overlong URL from overrunning a page, while still allowing a reader to hold the cursor over the link and see exactly what page is being linked to.

Type your message as you normally would. Then highlight whatever word or phrase you wish to turn into a link. Then click the "URL" icon above the text box. That will put tags before and after the text you highlighted. The first tag will say . I'll have to go look at the book because this sums up my thoughts exactly! For example, if you're tired of all the political crap here and don't even understand why normally decent people are so vicious, nasty, irrational, and uncivil toward each other
And a couple of Peeps have really surprised me, and not in a good way.
