Here's something to get our minds off politics
O.J. Simpson goes on trial again tomorrow.
The first several days are expected to be consumed by attorneys trying to find a jury from the pool of 500 prospects who filled out a 26-page questionnaire.
Good luck, attorneys. Good luck, prospective jurors. Whatever, O.J.

They're not the same pool that the eventual Casey Anthony case would come out of, are they?silvercamaro wrote:O.J. Simpson goes on trial again tomorrow.

I agree with Ms. Levenson, nothing about this will be normal.
Laurie Levenson, a former federal prosecutor who covered the 1995 trial for CBS News, said: “Nothing about an OJ case is a normal case, because it’s OJ.
“A guy who can get off of a double homicide with DNA evidence is not a normal defendant. There’s going to be some pressure to vindicate the judicial system in this case.”

Which, once again, may totally screw up things, due to incompetence or venality.SportsFan68 wrote:I agree with Ms. Levenson, nothing about this will be normal.

No. This is a jury pool in Las Vegas, as the incident dates back to that night when O.J. and his bachelor-party friends accidentally entered the wrong hotel room, where O.J. happened to notice some sports memorabilia that he might have lost, and he was so excited to find it, so his friends helped him celebrate by waving their hands which might have held guns that they might have picked up accidentally at some earlier moment, and it was all a horrible misunderstanding. Or something.Beebs52 wrote:

Oops. I was confusing that with the most recent brouhaha of his daughter pounding him and all that.
