How about adding some new emoticons? I really want one of the raised eyebrow ones!

I've been working with it off and on in my spare time (hahahahahaha, spare time) and it doesn't seem like it's going to break anything, so an upgrade should be happening soon....this month, most likely, since my goal had been to make that upgrade before this incarnation of the Bored reached it's one year anniversary, and that's now about a month away. I'll have to take the Bored completely offline to do it, so I'm going to try to pick a day/time when I'm off work and can do it late at night when most of you aren't around. I'll put a Sticky up with the info once I've got it all squared away.
As for the emoticons, I've held off adding anything else like that until I've done the upgrade, but you can expect more to be added once that's done, since I'm personally a fan of having lots of emoticons.

Did you or one of the other administrators change the settings for maximum avatar size? I thought we had a firm limit of 200 x 200, but I've recently noticed a few avatars that exceed that size. I think the 200x200 works well. Anything larger squeezes the width of the text of the posts.
The limit is still there, but for some reason there are some avatars that manage to slip through the cracks. I've had numerous avatars rejected because they exceeded the 200X200 limit....

Yeah! More size! I think that NigerianPenisDrugs and FourHourStiffy have the secret to larger avatars.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

The avatar thingie in your profile gives you a choice of uploading an avatar from your computer, uploading from a URL, or "link to an offsite avatar." If you link to the offsite avatar, the size limit doesn't count.
Can we get the link to the avatar-resizer back in the Suggestion Box forum? I lost the link a while ago.

I forgot to mention: if you link to one of those big offsite avatars, it screws up the whole thread by pushing everone's posts over to the right. So, while it's possible to have a larger avatar, it's pretty inconsiderate & you probably shouldn't do it!

Aha -- the one place I
didn't look! Oh well, I normally just resize 'em in Photobucket.
