The RoF Chart

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Thu Jul 03, 2008 8:16 am

I happened upon this the other day trolling through my archive, and thought it should be included along with all the other stuff we're saving over here. It is the BB seating chart we compiled a long time ago for those who made it to the Ring of Fire on Primetime BAM...

I don't know if we've had any new people who once sat around Regis since the last time this list saw the light of day on the Bored (heck, probably at least 4 or 5 years ago!), but if so, feel free to let us know you want to be added.....

Thanks for reminding me of all of the dozens of BBs that I don't have on my website. I guess this means I'll have to start watching the PTBAM reruns on GSN all over again. :-|

But then again, if I can arrange these BBs chronologically, I won't have to watch all of the episodes over again.

What episode are they on now, anyway? Last time I tuned in, they aired Lawrence Craphead... I mean, Caplan's second show.

Well, I didn't forget since this was, for the most part, a self-service list.

You just weren't around when it was posted to add yourself!

I will add yours as well as the SuperBAM entries (Paging mikehardware!)

BTW, watersprinkler (Erica Winkler) & grendel71 (Paul Houghland) were also on my show. Can't recall their seat #'s. Paul won some $$ -- I think it was $32K.

I miss Sprink from the old Bored!

I still remember she carried on a conversation with my teebee clone littlebeast18 one day while I was asleep. Saucy reminded her it wasn't really me, but I don't think she cared. I still remember the subject line...."littlebeast18 - Hello Darling".....

Mem'ries.....

I'm missing, too, as I was in the RoF on the first Sunday in February of 2000 (no HotSeat, alas).

I shame myself in admitting that I don't know the number of the seat I was in (actually, it was not technically a seat, it was a space for my wheelchair that they took the seat out for), but, as you are looking at it on tv, it was the seat on the left hand side closest to the entrance where Regis came in, if that helps any.

Seat 5... aka, the "Big Man's Seat"... which seems logical since it would be the easiest to make wheelchair accessable. And I don't think I'm imagining that the bigger contestants always wound up in 5 or 6 by the entrance, because I think it was that tendency that landed me in the Cursed Seat.

I saw the original lineup for my RoF in the hands of one of the AP's in the green room, and I was to be in Seat 10. When they lined us up for to go down to rehearsal, I wound up in 9, though. My theory that the lineup was switched at the last minute was confirmed by the lineup given at the end of the previous show when it aired. I was listed 10th, Earl Larrimore was listed 9th, and Andrea Carla Michaels, who sat next to me in 10, was listed 5th. They switched the three of us around, and I'm sure it was because Earl was a big guy and they didn't want him towering over Regis all night.... so I got all the "fame"..... and the Curse......

I was actually in Seat 1 twice, a year apart. My first time was the first show of 2000. I believe the date was 1/9/00. I got 2 of 3 FFs correct, but my times were too slow, both in the 7.xx second range.

You rang? Seat 3 for me, and with my slow fingers, I got to enjoy the view of Regis for the entire show.

Seat 10 (8/25-26/99, 32K) -- from which I had a perfect view of Il Papa's thrilling run. :)

I'm pretty sure I was in Seat 7 on 8/24/99. That day I won $1,000.

Who was the military guy we had that lost then came back and won. The Matt Damon look alike.

Are you talking about Pete Booker? We were at the same audition in St. Louis.

I've got to look at the dates on these old threads more closely. Some of them are even older than the food in my refrigerator.

I thought Nelly had rejoined the Bored.
