I always remember him as part of the trio that jumped to the World Football League's Memphis Southmen (unofficially called the Grizzlies because of the team logo) for the second league season.

I saw him play for Memphis against the Birmingham Vulcans in what turned out to be the league's last weekend before it folded. I still have the program.
