So. 39

#1 Post by Beebs52 » Fri Jan 10, 2020 7:46 am

Years ago Ranger Jeff and I were in line at the Cook County Courthouse, waiting to get married before they closed at noon. It was a Saturday and all the disco peeps were in line, too.

I almost had to marry our friend by proxy since Jeff was in the hallway finishing the "apple juice" with our best man. The guard had said "Yep, that's apple juice, not champagne".

So, we did it, went to the Pump Room, called people, since we only had five in our wedding group. Then stayed at the Tremont, watched Devil Dog Hound of Hell, went to dinner and got transferred to Rochester the next week.
I know that I was a prize of elegance and grace.

I am very lucky and blessed to have Ranger Jeff.
Well, then

You'll be sad to hear the Pump Room closed in 2017.

Thank you guys!

I forgot to mention that since we spent enough money on Christmas we weren't gonna get each other gifts, except I got him one. The agate is supposedly the stone for 39 and I was going to have Jake pick out a rock from the garden. Nah.
Instead I bought Jeff a romantic coffee mug.

I t says "I didn't fart. My ass blew you a kiss."

Ah, it's lovely when you can keep the romance alive! Congrats. Hubs and I will hit 39 in March. Well, at least I will. He's still single. And 31.
