Two Good Movies for Thanksgiving

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Wed Nov 27, 2019 9:09 pm

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood - Tom Hanks is perfect as Mr. Rogers, and the story is very good as well. They took a lot of dramatic liberties with the life of the actual journalist who interviewed Rogers, but it captured the essence of his sincerity and willingness to help people.

Knives Out - A great mystery for those who like old-style whodunits with a terrific cast. It's got a lot of snappy dialogue as well. Plus, in these days in which the trailers spoil virtually every single plot element, there's a big twist about halfway through the movie that wasn't even hinted at in the trailer and it makes the second half a lot more interesting.

We saw Knives Out the day after Thanksgiving and loved it.

Thanks, sss.

They are both on our list.

My cousin saw Knives Out and she won't tell us anything. 😁
