Elmore Rual Torn Jr., known as Rip Torn, character actor in many great films, passed away Tuesday at age 88.

Let's check if he's in Frank's puzzle. I mean, there's a Larry Sanders Show question ….

I thought he was a hoot on Larry Sanders. And really liked his performance in Cross Creek.

That's one of my favorite Columbo episodes, sss.

Whenever he was on screen, he brightened it up for me. He was brilliant.

I was crushed when he started getting arrested for drunk driving. I'm glad he never killed anybody but sad he set such a bad example.

I'd forgotten or never knew about Cross Creek -- I'll watch it first chance I get.
