RIP Tim Conway

#1 Post by jarnon » Tue May 14, 2019 10:44 am

Tim Conway, Star of The Carol Burnett Show, Dies at 85

I enjoyed watching him play Ensign Parker on McHale's Navy. More recently, he was the voice of Barnacle Boy on SpongeBob SquarePants.

This saddens me. Funny fellow.

One of my favorite things to watch was Conway reducing Harvey Korman to a helpless pile of giggles with ad libs. Conway joked that it was no challenge whatsoever. You couldn't help but laugh at it watching.

He had been in ill health for a while, which was why he wasn't at the recent Carol Burnett reunion special.

His Swedish boss trying to buzz Carol Burnett as his secretary and the dentist who gave himself the Novocain shot sketches on Carol Burnett always get me in hysterics.

I am going to see Carol Burnette this Friday. At least I hope I am. She may cancel to attend whatever ceremony for Tim there is

Tim was one of a kind.

We watch McHale's Navy every morning. He is wonderfully funny in that.

But not as funny as making-Harvey-Korman-wet-his-pants-funny, as he was on Carol Burnett.

I will never NOT find Tim Conway funny.

He was amazing in anything he was in.
