My apology

#4 Post by etaoin22 » Fri Mar 14, 2008 8:13 pm

I have a dial on my watch which currently is half an hour early.

I could use it for Newfoundland time. Almost.

I used another dial to count how long the purrfect orange tabby Orbit stayed out. 40 minutes times two.

I didnt go back to the right dial.

also it is March 14.

about usual these days for my recollection of facts....

Not that my presence is indicative of much of anything.

(My previous post sounded somewhat self-important. Didn't mean it that way.)

Yeah, like you come off sounding arrogant. Funny that!

You'll have to try lot harder!

All rightie! We can count these votes on one hand. Just like everywhere else where I would like to be important.

I'm here if it's March 14, otherwise, I'm not here.

It is easy, just answer the questions in the thread. No need for spoilers.

And welcome!

Look for the starter question in a separate thread. Give it your best guess (unless you actually know the answer, in which case we will hold you in reverence.)

After that, a third thread will have all the "regular" questions in two parts -- one for B (boys) and one for G (girls). Answer both parts. The Meister will assign scores for correct answers depending on the team to which you're assigned (by birth or by meister, when the player genders don't come out even.) Five of such two-part questions will comprise the game.

The award for the winning team is huge: bragging rights!

get in the question thread. The question meister will ask questions and we try to answer. guys against girls except we never have an even number so some girls or guys or vice versa. The meister decides who is who.....

Come have fun with us!

The meister asks 2 questions in each round-usually 5 rounds and an occasional bonus for fun and a starter (warmup) q.

S'pose to be boys vs. girls with occasional trash talk. Sometimes boys have to be girls or girls have to be boys to make teams even. I try to stay on the boys' side 'cuz I look terrible in a dress or Strawberry Shortcake Underoos.

Don't worry if you give wrong answers. If anyone gets TOO many right, we make fun of 'em 'cuz we get a lot wrong and it makes us feel better. There is frequent silly bantering and topics from left field in between questions..

One of the (usually) unwritten rules is "If you can't be right, be funny."

In addition, non sequiturs are permitted, encouraged, proliferated, and unrelated to the questions and each other.

I never let Annie play, because she'd know more answers than the rest of us, then we'd all feel bad.

Kay Krox T-Bone for the Boys

Silver Sprots and Christie for the Girls

Best two results count.

If I can count that high.
