Sorry I should have known better than to try to be the first person in history to make a lawyer joke. And everybody says I'm at most a partial ass.
I laughed at your lawyer joke without letting it influence my opinion of the profession, so I guess that makes me an impartial ass.

Okay, I generally have a pretty good sense of humor, but somebody's gonna have to explain to me how smiler's joke was not a swipe at my integrity.

At a cocktail party if someone made that comment about me I would laugh at it, if some one on the street made the same comment I would take offense. This bored is more like a cocktail party to me.

I have often said you can't offend a trial lawyer. (and I include myself in that category)
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Lighten up. He said you would know about framing, not that you ever did it yourself. I would guess that it happens occasionally. There are bad apples in every profession.

How many lawyer jokes are there?

Congrats on the win particularly at such short notice; pity neighbors can be so petty that it devolves to this kind of case.
