B: Well, it's Ivan Reitman, but the movie...first instinct was "Stripes" but since you said "classic" it's probably "Ghostbusters"..gonna go with that.

It's JASON Reitman who is the son of Ivan Reitman, who directed a bunch of movies, but the only one of that time period I can recall is "GhostBusters"...but that came out after I turned 21 in 1984....I remember, because I saw it several times when I was smashed, and legally.

As for the Juno, I think it's the Canuckistani Grammy.

I was aiming at Ghostbusters, and the Emmy awards.
There is a bit of a story there.

Pierre Juneau was the head of the CRTC, the body which does the equivalent of the media oversight function of the FCC in the US (but not a lot of the other things, including techie stuff, which the FCC does, IIRC.). At that time, the Canadian Content regulations, famous or infamous, which have governed the radio and TV world since, were promulgated in more or less the form still in use. Personally, I think they have been worthwhile.

The use of "Juno" in the award name was a bit of a backhand complement to Juneau.

G - There is a reference to the Paul Bunyan tourist stuff in Brainerd, Minnesota, but not to the corresponding Bunyan stuff up in Bemidji, Minn, in this movie for which Frances McDormand won the Oscar for best performance by a female actor.
