1 - Emmy
2 - Grammy
3 - Teen Choice
4 - Razzie

(and I hope I have ALL my facst staright )
B: Well, it's Ivan Reitman, but the movie...first instinct was "Stripes" but since you said "classic" it's probably "Ghostbusters"..gonna go with that.

G:2-Grammy

You don't. :-)

It's JASON Reitman who is the son of Ivan Reitman, who directed a bunch of movies, but the only one of that time period I can recall is "GhostBusters"...but that came out after I turned 21 in 1984....I remember, because I saw it several times when I was smashed, and legally.

As for the Juno, I think it's the Canuckistani Grammy.

OK throw that one out.

or at least the B portion

I will mark the G portion as single points up to 2 on both sides.

I was aiming at Ghostbusters, and the Emmy awards.
There is a bit of a story there.

Pierre Juneau was the head of the CRTC, the body which does the equivalent of the media oversight function of the FCC in the US (but not a lot of the other things, including techie stuff, which the FCC does, IIRC.). At that time, the Canadian Content regulations, famous or infamous, which have governed the radio and TV world since, were promulgated in more or less the form still in use. Personally, I think they have been worthwhile.

The use of "Juno" in the award name was a bit of a backhand complement to Juneau.

Q4Q4 - NONE OF THIS FOR OLD MEN, COENHEADS

B - Very old streetcars from the St.Charles line in this city were used to aid the 1920's atmosphere in the gangster film, Miller's Crossing.

G - There is a reference to the Paul Bunyan tourist stuff in Brainerd, Minnesota, but not to the corresponding Bunyan stuff up in Bemidji, Minn, in this movie for which Frances McDormand won the Oscar for best performance by a female actor.

It's a line from the Steve Martin movie "The Jerk". Prompting my "jerk" remark.

I had to jump in and explain because I just realized you probably were thinking I was being very rude to KT. I wouldn't want you thinking ill of me...

GRRr...I'm having posting problems tonight. I got dropped twice when trying to respond to this.

B: Gotta be N'awlins, based on the "St. Charles" thing.

G: Fargo, another of my favorite movies, which I just rewatched again (since I'm up to the Fs in my annual "watch all my DVDs in alphabetical order" thing).
