An Interesting Question

#1 Post by tlynn78 » Wed Nov 15, 2023 11:12 am

I saw an interesting question on FB:

What actor performed so well in the role of 'bad guy' that you could never see them any other way?

For me, hands down, Sandy Duncan in Roots. After she betrayed Kizzy, I couldn't see her in any other context without feeling actual nausea.

Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber. Made him the perfect "villan" Snape.

I'm conflicted. Someone plays a bad guy/gal then does something outta character.
Probably Anthony Hopkins because of the usual and then I'm suspicious about his motives, etc.
Well, then

My daughter acted in the TV pilot for "Scarlett" with him. She said he had a great sense of humor.

Gunton said Shawshank got so much airtime on cable channels that he was getting yearly 6-figure royalty checks well into the 2000s (it was released in 1994).

Gary Oldman in just about anything, but I’ll go with Air Force One. Plus he plays a Russian baddie.
