I cannot understand why there isn't a Maxwell, to go with ChriS MARTin for associated word (86) or, failing that, and Associated word to go with Elizabeth Smart.

Ditto.

Also, are we missing a word for Daniel Perle? Seems too good a match not to be there.

Don't you think Reich is more associated with orgasm than quantum?

Think it may be Richard Perle instead.

Neocon is the match, probably. Since I don't see profiteer. :D

So it's definitely not Elizabeth Smart:

I suggest a re-cast:

Instead of this -- 74. PAUL Richardson, Jr. + 89. AndREI SERban + Paul Reiser (Mad)

We do -- 73. THEODORE Bilbo + 89. AnDREI SERban (Carrie)

and 38. LARS Onsager + 74. PaULRICHardson, Jr. = Lars Ulrich (Drums)

That opens mad back up, but I think these two make too much sense not to be right.

I'm leaving it alone for now, but nothing's ruled it out.

Watching a PBS thing I DVRd and Florence Kelley was just mentioned .

Doesn't help us solve anything but I got a kick out of it.

I think Diane Arbus must be there for Camera, because:

25. OLIVER Cromwell + 87. Bret EaSTON Ellis = Oliver Stone (JFK)

I really wanted to turn Bret Easton Ellis into John Tonelli, but I wanted John Kander in the game more.

By the way, Rod Smart, aka He Hate Me, last played for Las Vegas in the XFL, so that may be our smart guy.

So somehow, my wrong guess for #84 got folded in to the puzzle as a correct answer to #85. The correct answer to clue 85 is MAXWELL MALTZ, which solves one of my mysteries:

85. MAXWELL Maltz + 97. ChriS MARTin = Maxwell Smart (86)
