If celebrities are the only people worthy to appear as contestants on this "return" of the show, let them fill the audience with celebs, too.

Let celebrities watch it, too.

'Jeopardy!' and 'Wheel of Fortune' Audience Scrapped To Prevent Spread of Coronavirus

Protect Alex and Pat. I suppose ABC would do the same for an elderly host like Regis.

This celebrity edition is being hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
Not having an audience presents one obvious problem-- with the Ask the Audience lifeline. The subtler problem is that it's a theatre in the round where every camera angle incorporates part of the audience.

Disappointed about most of this 'reboot,' but I can't deny hearing that music in the advertisements make my heart beat faster.

I sent in the e-mail to tell them I was a former HotSeater, and they replied with info to sign up for tickets at the general ticket website but use a special promo code. If I did so, then more information would be provided. I have decided not to sign up since I would rather not be cooped up in a studio with possibly hundreds of other people for a few hours given the COVID-19 situation if it was unclear what they would do for us "VIPs". They sent me a follow-up e-mail yesterday asking me if I had signed up or not since they wanted to account for any potential potential HotSeaters, and I replied that I opted not to go.

I wish I had known about this sooner, because I might have gone, covid19 notwithstanding.

probably still can. I heard they are looking for former contestants to be in the audience.

I suspect they are just going to give those people priority tickets as opposed to regular folk, so the ATA can be worthwhile instead of filling the studio with actors who need a few bucks an hour to sit there and watch the show. I really don't expect the show to acknowledge anything about any former players in the audience.

I'm sure tickets are still available, but it's too late for me to plan the trip.

Mayor Pete is filling in as host of Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight while Jimmy's at Millionaire. The studio audience is nearly empty. That could be what's going on at Culver Studios too, and the new normal in Hollywood.

still happening, without an audience...I suspect there will be an online version of ATA if they can figure out how to do that on time for production.

LOL. Will the host cough up the money for charity from his own pocket if he gives some celeb the wrong answer?
