Monday will be my big day

#1 Post by Bo Donaldson » Sat Feb 29, 2020 10:28 pm

That's when TBone starts counting down the best songs and albums of 2019.

My time has finally come!

Sure, it's a small detail that I haven't produced any new music since the 1970s, but the won't matter since I'm sure TBone has created something called

The Lifetime Achievement Award

And I will be presented with the very first one!

Who else is more deserving? I can't think of anyone. Hey, look! I have an open spot on my awards shelf.

TBone Presents
The Boneys
Beginning Monday
Right Here
And nowhere else

Plus, Stick around to see me, Bo Donaldson, get my long-overdue Lifetime Achievement Award. You may have to wait a few days for this one, but it will happen.

This is my year.
I'm the one in the middle.

A bit of advice, Bo. If I were you, I'd be practicing my "nominee in the audience trying to look like a good sport when they lose" look.

Y'know, "just in case"

By the way, who will you be wearing on the Red Carpet tomorrow?

Your usual "late-period Brady Bunch" look, I assume....

Looks like someone's trying just a little to hard for "The Boneys." At least we know now where George Michael got the shuttlecock idea from...

Poor Bo. Skunked again. Maybe next year.

Yeah, maybe.

Look, there's a long line of artists waiting for their call. You've got to realize there's a pecking order in these matters. I looked it up...right now on the list you're somewhere between The DeFranco Family and The Baja Marimba Band.

So, as Journey sings (every 20 minutes on the Classic Rock station), Don't Stop Believin'...if Harold Baines can make it to Cooperstown, you can make it to Fonda (which is only an hour away from Cooperstown).

This is America, dammit! Land of hope and dreams! Believe in the power of the Stars and Stripes! Wave that flag proudly!

On second thought, after seeing that picture above, DON'T.

Sure, Bo, a......chance.

I mean, if Percy Sledge can make it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, then maybe you have a shot at this, too.

Besides, I'm sure the whole world is just aching to see a reunion of the Heywoods...have they reconciled their differences? I must've missed that episode of VH-1's Behind The Music.
