Lyrically Speaking - 1/27/20

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Mon Jan 27, 2020 8:30 am

I'm not much on gardening. Hell, I don't even attempt to care for my lawn.... what little of it is actually grass. But for today's LSWE, I'll proudly wave my black thumb around and show off what's growing in my virtual garden. You'll find the fruits of my labor (or apathy) in the titles or artists of these songs...

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist....

1. If I was walkin' in your shoes, I wouldn't worry none
While you n' your friends are worried about me I'm havin' lots of fun

2. Yeah, my my, such a sweet thing
I wanna do everything
What a beautiful feeling

3. And if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places

4. You're such a lovely audience
We'd like to take you home with us
We'd love to take you home

5. She's pretty as a daisy
But look out man, she's crazy
She'll really do you in
If you let her get under your skin

6. As the headline says you're free to choose
There's egg on your face and mud on your shoes
One of these days they're gonna call it the blues

7. And I`d give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You`re the closest to heaven that I`ll ever be
And I don`t want to go home right now

8. I can make you dance
I can make you sing
I can make you dance
I can make you sing
If you want me to

9. those were the times we had
sharing a joy that we thought would last
memories of love and affection
never really was just like a dream

10. Was it something I
Said or something I did
Did my words not come out right

11. I walked on over and I asked her to dance
Thinkin' maybe later on will make romance
But every guy there was thinkin' like me

12. One day this feller from Washington came by,
And he spied it and turned white as a sheet.
Then they dug and they burned,
And they burned and they dug

I'm not much on gardening. Hell, I don't even attempt to care for my lawn.... what little of it is actually grass. But for today's LSWE, I'll proudly wave my black thumb around and show off what's growing in my virtual garden. You'll find the fruits of my labor (or apathy) in the titles or artists of these songs...

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist....

LB's probably scoring this right now. I'll do another one with answers so hopefully he'll accept it because I haven' seen the answers.

I wanna do everything

One of these days they're gonna call it the blues

And I don`t want to go home right now
Iris - Goo Goo Dolls (Contenders with Hootie & the Blowfish for worst band of the 90's...)
