My 2020 Vision..

Happy New Year to YOU! Y'know, I was thinking last night,as I was surfing across the various channels and trying to find one single Countdown to the New Year program whose musical guests were not the latest insipid pop charts flavor of the month or cookie cutter country performer..the closest I could come was Keith Urban, who put some rock in his country...why doesn't somebody, maybe a TNT or A & E or even PBS, come up with an "old folks" New Year's Eve show? I mean, I understand why NBC, FOX,CBS, etc. want to have today's big names, but when we were young, the older folks had Guy Lombardo while we had our contemporary countdown show..so, now that WE'RE the older generation, where's OUR "Guy Lombardo"? SOME of us are still quite capable of staying up past midnight but don't go out for the parties...Quick, somebody put me in charge of a network...
