On Am Prime, based on Philip Dick's novel. It is the slowest, murkiest, boring jumble of whatever. Scanned a synopsis of the book and it sounds even worse.

I binge-watched the 4th and final season last weekend. I loved all of them! You flunked the geek test.

I generally enjoy a good alternate history tale. I watched the first episode a few years ago and then life happened. I'm hoping to make time to watch it at some point. --Bob

I'm hearing that complaint about streaming shows, especially, that they can't hear people talking, and also that scenes are too dark (especially The Walking Dead, which I watch only when my kid actor friends are on). The producers/directors are going for artsy, but there was a reason people had lightning and sound, so we could see and hear them!

Some folks have taken to turning on captions on everything. It used to be only for British shows but now ... just leave it on.

I leave it on so I can turn the sound down. Otherwise I have to turn it up to levels that keep the dog awake. :D

Seriously, I leave the captions on all the time. It's very helpful.

I'm with ya, Ms. King. The premise sounded extremely interesting. The actual execution made me sleepier than a dozen Ambien. I watched about 4 episodes before giving up. Fortunately, it was during a free trial of Amazon Prime, so no budgets were harmed during the wasting of my viewing time.

I must also chime in regarding the volume levels of broadcasts. It is an issue in almost everything these days, including network shows. I watch most of the CW Superhero shows, and during the the "soap opera type moments" it seems like someone's pressed the mute button. Then the villain shows up for a bout, and the sound level blasts you to Jupiter. So, like several here have mentioned, the closed captioning is my friend and is on most, if not all, of the time now.

We shall consider the captioning. Never even thought about that. Duh.
Mr Bone, now I'm just watching out of orneriness. Hitler croaked so some worse guy is up or whatever. A teacup was repaired. Sigh.

I read "Dick" and "whatever" in the original post and figured it was a cry for ol' Billy Bored.

I'll be waitin' here in my high castle.

I would have thought you'd be too busy with your own series, Goliath.
