Missed it by that much

I played the Riverside Sectional this weekend. Two pair events yesterday, and a team event today. Partner and I won yesterday morning's pair event by half a matchpoint (pretty much the smallest possible margin), and then backed it up with a more comfortable win in yesterday afternoon's event.
So today (with a different partner) I was going for the hat trick. And we had a comfortable lead going into the last round. But it proved to be not quite comfortable enough, as a poor last round coupled with our nearest competitor having a good round allowed them to leap frog us for the win.
It's still easily the best sectional I've ever had, but I was really hoping to make it 3 for 3. --Bob
