Then why the worry over Trump asking the Ukraine to help investigate?
Because innocent people shouldn't be investigated for political reasons. That's what Trump keeps claiming that Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, etc. did to him, and if Horowitz and Durham find malfeasance, there will be hell to pay. If there are legitimate grounds to investigate Biden and other Democrats, the people making the charges like Giuliani should testify.
No one should be investigated for political reasons. And no one holding federal office should be permitted to abuse power by using the power of that office to coerce a foreign government into investigating a domestic political opponent. --Bob

That sounds a bit hollow given all that's been investigated the past 2 1/2 years. Actually, hollow is too light a word.

In Donny's case actual crimes and real offenses are being investigated. Or are you claiming that it's okay for Donny to fire the Director of the FBI because he was investigating Donny, and that it's okay for Donny to abuse his power to coerce a foreign government to invent an investigation against a domestic political opponent? --Bob

There are an awful lot of eyewitnesses and earwitnesses who are saying otherwise under oath. Soon to appear on your TV screen. Unless you refuse to watch. --Bob

So you haven't actually read the Mueller Report either. You've allowed Fox News and William Barr to tell you what they want you to think it says. --Bob

No use debating any of them. They don't read a word you say and ignore and defame anything or anybody that conflicts with their firmly held opinions. When they' re proven wrong or face a question they cannot answer, they abandon the thread and move on to the next topic. Until they're proven wrong again. Just like Congress is doing. Read the mueller report, damn it.

Talking about yourself there, again, Flock. My opinion is based on what the witnesses are saying in these hearings and what Trump and Giuliani have (rather stupidly) admitted to. Your opinions are based on the conspiracy theories of the right wing noise machine without anything to back them up except a lot of hot air.

And one thing that no one on the right mentions is that of all the possible corruption in the Ukraine, Trump and his flunkies never asked the Ukrainians to investigate anyone other than the two Bidens (who had been thoroughly investigated before).

It doesn't matter if the whistleblower is a Democrat or was coached by Schiff. His testimony isn't relevant. It's lot one mobster giving the police an anonymous tip about another. What matters is what he alleged and whether that's true. And with every additional witness, it's becoming more and more obvious that his complaint was accurate. Tryinig to smear him (which the whistleblower laws are intended to prevent) doesn't change the testimony or affect the credibility of all these other witnesses one bit.

But it will accomplish one goal that Donny desperately wants to achieve, which is to deter future whistleblowers by causing them to fear reprisal. --Bob

Timothy Morrison, who testified today, pretty much corroborated the earlier statements about what went on in regard to the phone call and that there was a quid pro quo. He just didn't think there was anything wrong with that. Which puts him at odds with most of the rest of the people who knew about the call.

Here's what Justin Amash, a man who is no fan of Pelosi or the Democrats on the issues had to say:
This president will be in power for only a short time, but excusing his misbehavior will forever tarnish your name. To my Republican colleagues: Step outside your media and social bubble. History will not look kindly on disingenuous, frivolous, and false defenses of this man.

Morrison was concerned about the politics:
After the call, I promptly asked the NSC Legal Advisor and his Deputy to review it. I had three concerns about a potential leak of the MemCon: first, how it would play out in Washington's polarized environment; second, how a leak would affect the bipartisan support our Ukrainian partners currently experience in Congress; and third, how it would affect the Ukrainian perceptions of the U.S.-Ukraine relationship. I want to be clear, I was not concerned that anything illegal was discussed.

Look, Flock just learned a new unfunny joke and he wants us to know how proud he is of himself by repeating it as many times as possible. He must have been a load of laughs to be around as a kid when he first learned the meaning of some common four-letter words.

How many times have you and bob used that same phrase? Did you think of that all by yourselves? How silly is that?
And you have the nerve to accuse other people of not being able to think for themselves?
Who's your hannity?

Nicholas Kristof puts it pretty well:
Nicholas Kristof wrote:Or what if I suggested to a university president that I was planning some glowing columns about his great institution and then asked for “a favor,” noting that my child was applying for admission.

In every case, we might disagree about whether to call this bribery, extortion or a quid pro quo, and might disagree about precisely which statute was violated, but there is no doubt this would be a firing offense and perhaps lead to a criminal investigation.
He includes other hypothetical examples as well. --Bob

Devin Nunes is now the Tszar of Whataboutistan. His opening statement today didn't defend Pinocchio at all, he just said, "What about..." many times.

You're about three defenses behind. Congressional Republicans have long since given up on the "he didn't do it" defense. Too many people saw and heard him actually do it. They're currently on the "he did it but so what? It's not impeachable" defense. Keep up, will you? --Bob

Used Congressionally-approved foreign aid to attempt to strong-arm the Ukrainian government to invent dirt against a domestic political rival for his own personal advantage. Or to put it another way, he used his power over U.S. foreign aid as leverage to solicit a bribe. --Bob

Add this to having hotels in DC and all over the world before he entered politics, having Vlad Putin getting him elected, being a personal jerk and a republican and there's your air tight case!

Bobby, no matter what your dems say or do, half the country will believe it's nothing but another attempt to change the results of the last and the next election. It's just another circus show by the dems like the Kavanaugh hearings and the Mueller fiasco.

And it's sad the dems once again don't realize they are establishing a precedent that will work against them in the future to the detriment of us all.

Explain to me why the MSM won't even say eric ciaramella when everyone knows who he is. They will report rumors and gossip about trump on the front page but have no interest in this guy. Why is that, bobby?
