That's lucky, because the Minister of Justice is so right-wing that Bibi is a socialist compared to her. This is an actual campaign ad released today by the actual Justice Minister, not a comedian spoofing her.
This was immediately after he ran for re-election promising not to seek such a law. No wonder he and Donny get along so well. --Bobjarnon wrote:Bibi proposed a law to shield government leaders from prosecution.
Yep. Both being hounded by the left based on made up crimes.
And this is why I sometimes despair for the country.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 6:38 pmYep. Both being hounded by the left based on made up crimes.
Based on only the prosecution, bobby. Or is he guilty until proven innocent? Is that what they taught you at Acme? I hope he is impeached. It would be nice to have a trial run by adults according to due process.Bob78164 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 7:10 pmAnd this is why I sometimes despair for the country.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 6:38 pmYep. Donny used the power of his office in an effort to extort Ukraine's government to bribe him by announcing an investigation against a domestic political opponent. Donny didn't even care if the investigation actually happened. He just wanted the announcement because that's what would damage Biden.
There is really no credible way to deny that happened. And you (along with most of what remains of the Republican Party) just don't care. And that means the Republican Party deserves to suffer the utter political destruction that has already been visited upon it in California. --Bob
How does it accord with due process when Donny is privately meeting with many of the jurors? Any senator who cares about appearing (much less being) impartial should refuse to meet privately with Donny.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 7:30 pmBased on only the prosecution, bobby. I think you put in an ' it in' where it doesn't belong in your last sentence.

And Republicans have had plenty of opportunity to question the eyewitnesses to Donny's extortionate attempts to get the government of Ukraine to bribe him. They haven't dented the accounts because they're true. That's exactly what Donny was doing, and if it weren't for the whistleblower complaint going public, it would have worked.
And that, of course, is exactly why Republicans are mad at the whistleblower. Because he stopped Donny from getting away with it. --Bob
