I passed the written test (about 7 passed out of a room full of people). I failed the personality test. The crew is all new I think. My interviewer did not recognize me. She allowed me to speak long enough, but I didn't get the video interview. Everything about the process looks exactly the same. There was one new question on the application, something about having unique circumstances while growing up.

Hi all,

I'm confused because the show website says, "If you have auditioned before and received a postcard stating that you are in the Contestant Pool, please note: Eligibility for selection from the Contestant Pool DOES expire. Anyone who auditioned prior to June 2012 will need to audition again this year." Does anyone know if this will change, say, next month?

Sounds like I can't audition, because I had a June 6, 2012 audition and video interview--but they never called.

They haven't yet updated the rules. Go ahead and audition. When they update, they'll change that date to June 2013.

If you didn't get the postcard, then you were never in the pool.

Ah, I see that Noo Yawkuk did get the Happy Card and was left stranded in the pool.

So it's as Bob said--although the rules haven't been updated yet, you were unceremoniously flushed from the pool at the end of last season, so you're eligible to audition again. Indeed, if you ever hope to be on the show, you have to audition again.

Sorry to leave out what of course I should have included--indeed, my Happy Face postcard languishes on our refrigerator.

Undaunted, I have submitted another audition request. Thanks for your help, guys.

I originally auditioned back in October of 2010 in Los Angeles and got the happy card in the mail. Then spent the next few years in the contestant pool. I auditioned last year in Las Vegas, but didn't get past the interview phase.

I auditioned last year in Las Vegas, but didn't get past the interview phase. But - 2 weeks after that disappointment, I got invited to be on Wheel of Fortune and did very well, so it all worked out. I am officially, legally eligible to tape another show starting on 6/30/14 or after.

When you auditioned in Los Angeles did you get a video interview? Did you actually receive a sad card (or sad e-mail) from the Las Vegas audition? --Bob

In Los Angeles, I did get the interview and happy card in the mail.

After Las Vegas last year, I didn't get anything. But I knew if I didn't get the video interview it was over at that point.

Passed test, no video. So it goes...

JulieF, if you were there first thing in the morning, we probably saw each other.

I passed the written test (and really wished I hadn't checked out of my hotel because I could have taken a nap), and passed both interviews. I didn't stick around for the movie test. Now I'm waiting to hear if I'm in the pool.

I waited until 5pm to audition so I could do the Movie test too. Good Luck!

I waited until 5pm to audition so I could do the Movie test too. Good Luck!

Got (and missed) the phone call today! I will be calling back in the morning to see if I qualify.
