Dress report

#1 Post by kayrharris » Tue Feb 26, 2008 1:35 pm

The teal silk jacket dress came yesterday. It fits fine and really doesn't even need to be hemmed. It has a very nice fitted waist. My only objection is it's too low cut. It doesn't appear to be on the model. Guess it's my build, but the v-neckline is just too low. I think I can remedy it with a nice camisole.

Yes, a nice camisole would not only work, but make you VERY trendy!

Beautiful dress, Kay - and a lovely color.

Yes, the camisole should work. It's a magnificent dress, and you will be beautiful!

Looks pretty low cut on the model to me. Looks to be at least down to the xiphoid process.

Which, by the way, I don't have any problem with! Low cut works fine for me.

The camisole would seem somehow excessive to me...

The model appears to be a bit flat-chested. I don't mind a little cleavage showing, but this is way more than I'm used to. Maybe if I were younger.....

Only about 1 1/2 inches of the camisole will show...just enough to fill in that deep "v". :)

I say if ya got it, flaunt it! Age is after all nothing more than a state of mind. And I certainly don't mind...

Besides if Hill can pull it off I 'm sure you can do it!

And besides cleavage can be a convenient place to store things...

LOL! I see where Fredericks of Hollywood has The Hollywood Extreme Cleavage Collection - pretty inexpensive as well. (You'll have to google it..I'm not gonna post it here!) :D Even that wouldn't help me come close to the "extreme cleavage" as shown in your photos.

Too bad I don't have time to order one.

Great plan!

What I really like about that idea is that you can change the look by changing the color of the cami and maybe even the style of the cami. A lace one would be way different than a plain one.

You are going to be fabu in that dress.

What about the other one?

Sorry, Pea for the delay. I'm still in Lousiville with spotty internet service. I just got back online. The other dress is really nice. I like both of them.

I do plan on using a lace camisole with the teal dress. I have 2 weddings coming up in March, so I will probably get to use both of them very soon.

Thanks for all the help!

Lace will be lovely - both black or white will work - with the matching shoes. I think it would be great to have a multi colored cami - with teal as one of the colors.

What jewlery do you plan to wear?

I had so much fun looking for a dress with you.

Guess we could get SC, bb and Hermillon's opinion. I showed them an amethyst necklace I have (do I want to wear the purple with the teal?) I also have pearls and I have a diamond "past, present, future" necklace" (small stones...not big ones).

That's the real stuff....I could probably get something from Natalie's store that would do nicely with the V neck. I'm sure she would fix me up first class with earrings to match.

Alexander Julian started a huge color craze in Charlotte when he designed purple and teal uniforms for the Hornets. Depends on the shades, but they can go together nicely.
