Hey gang---I haven't posted anything worthwhile in years (if ever! ) but I had a burning question today that I'm sure one of you brainiacs can answer.
Last night as I watched the Oscars, I was checking out some things on Wikipedia. When I was looking up Marion Cotillard, I noticed that in her "file" it mentioned that she won the Academy Award for Best Actress...and this was just a minute or two after she won. I thought this was odd..but maybe they had some quick typers over at Wiki Central.
So before DD Lewis and No Country were awarded Oscars, I checked them out on Wikipedia, and Wikipedia already stated that they had won the 2008 Oscar. And this was at least a good half-hour to an hour before they were announced! I checked out the other nominees and only the winners had been correctly posted on this site.
Of course, my question is...how did Wiki Central get this supposed top-secret info before it was even announced???

I would have used IMDb instead which also was right on top of things and updating as soon as the awards were announced.
For Wikipedia, I'd have to check the history to see who and when did the updates.

Last spring I was watching a Rockies-Braves game, when Troy Tulowitzki, the shortstop of the Rockies, managed one of the rarest fielding plays in baseball, an unassisted triple play. I went to Wikipedia during the next half inning to see a list of the previous unassisted triple plays, and Tulowitzki's name was already there with the current date... Gotta love this Information Age...

Well, the unassisted triple play did make in into FNGD a couple of weeks before.....
"Runners on first and second, nobody out, the manager sends the runners.
This is the possible set-up for:
1 - A double steal
2 - A hit-and-run play
3 - The invocation of the infield fly rule
4 - Baseball's rarest defensive play, the unassisted triple play.
