The Madden Curse continues

#1 Post by Bob Juch » Fri Oct 19, 2007 8:06 am

The 2008 cover of Madden NFL features Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Vince Young, who skipped his senior year in college to enter the NFL after leading the University of Texas Longhorns to a national championship and was selected #3 in in the 2006 draft. Young hurt the quadriceps in his right leg during the Titans' fifth game of the 2007 season, and if he is unable to participate in this Sunday's game against the Houston Texans, it will be the first time in his career (including middle school, high school, college, and the NFL) that an injury has kept him from playing.

I thought the Madden curse had to involve a major injury or significant sub-par performance - Young may be back in a week or two.

For Vince Young, playing in his hometown, for the second time since he became a pro, is probably a big deal.

He will be back in a few weeks in all probability. At least he avoided the lilclyde first round fantasy pick curse. That knocks you out for at least half the season. Or at least it has for my #1 pick the last 4 years.
