I saw it coming a mile away and wanted to prevent it and knew I couldn't and hated that I couldn't and watched the train wreck as it happened.

I think that is really why I disliked her so.

In a different situation, I bet I would have found her a hoot.

Oh my.

I agree with PeaBabe that it makes me sad but I also think it is something that is healing in expressing one's feelings.

I still regret any part I played in the schism. I will say that anything I said/posted/did which affected the continuing affection for someone I have come to believe I know and still have never met would upset me more than I could express in electrons.

The person I met in this situation did not change my opinion I got from the on-line personality.

Not having LB part of my, mostly, daily life would make me very sad.

Very Sincerely,

I remember seeing the avatar back then and then when I saw it today, I was not sure if I had or not.

I am sure I was way too angry at her back then to say anything. My anger has turned to sadness so I can look at the whole thing differently.

The whole thing made you more accessible - which I like.

If there's one thing about these boards that I do have to say I'm not fond of, it's the threads that take place on the boards between those who are "in the know" about things that only small groups of people on the boards truly know about (maybe the things took place in chat or PMs or some such place).

It gives the Bored a "cliquish" feel which is kind of disconcerting and a bit off-putting.

But you take the bad with the good, I guess. And there's way more that is good about the Bored than is bad.

None of this is secret. More than likely a thread or two you didn't read - not that it would have been
easy to miss - but I manage to miss all the political threads, so it's certainly possible. Two years is a long time...so these things do fade away after a while.

I think I saw those threads.

But what was being said here seems like there was more behind the scenes than what was in those threads.

No need to apologize.

Post what you want to post.

I think I remember the incident. Someone got their panties in a wad they couldn't undo and left the bored. Boo hoo. She required to much special handling.

I miss Barb and I don't think she got pissed off. She just quit posting. Same with...crap, I can't remember his name...Wildbill?

I don't think there is any reason to apologize or be sorry you posted the avatar.

We post how we feel here.

I would hate it if we didn't.

Even if I totally try to avoid the political thread and certain posters.
