And a good thing that the Red Sox don't start at home. Nor'easter predicted for tomorrow - heavy rain and a couple of inches of snow in Boston, 6-12 inches predicted for where I work. No option on coming in, either. Major customer visiting and I'm a big part of the dog-and-pony show.

(Don't bother asking which one I am; I've heard them all before.)
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Last season ended with threats of snow and now a new season begins the same way.

In this case, use of the more technically “correct” term is actually less likely to convey the key implications to a lay audience.

Nah, Opening Day was March 15 when LA played Seattle.

Oh, baseball. Right.

Your Old Busch pic had to come from 2005 since the legendary Einar Diaz is batting for the Cardinals.....

That weather looks familiar for that season as well, I had a few batting practices blacked out by nasty pre-thunderstorm clouds like that in '05....

Pittsburgh has a professional baseball team? Who knew?

Yeah the new one was half-up by the time and I wanted to beat the closing of the old one. Houston Astros and Andy Pettitte visited that day.

Well, as a Cubs fan, I can only say "Wait'll NEXT year!"
Innocent, naive and whimsical. And somewhat footloose and fancy-free.

Ironic, though, that if you stood up at the stadium and yelled out "O frabjous day! Callou! Callay!", you'd either get pelted or beaten...
