Spoiler, end of 4/2 show

#1 Post by Snaxx » Fri Apr 02, 2010 5:38 pm

Spoiler
I expected just filler material for the last segment, but they teased and then introduced a WE/WE type who began her run with a couple of minutes left before the usual time that the horn sounds, and a celebrity question among the first five to boot. I feared a certain llama to finish the week and hoped she would at least win 5K and close with a 7.5K miss. She did make 5K w/o needing a LL, and then they sounded the horn and said she would return another time. I'd bet dollars to donuts that her conclusion will never air, especially if she missed or walked before 25K.

Spoiler
The article about Lesia said she went to NYC to tape the show "around Nov. 18" so this was near the end of the season, if not the very last day. This last contestant certainly won't be appearing on this Monday's show, which would have been taped much earlier. Hopefully, she did get the chance to tape the end of her run before the end of the season.

I think you'll see Constance Boardman again. There have been contestants that have carried out of special weeks into normal episodes. DWTS week was taped November 18, and there were four subsequent tape dates - one of which was November 19.

However, you won't see Constance again in April. The next few weeks look like this:

April 5-9: Standard episodes. Tim McCauley will start off going for $50k after ending March 26 by answering question 10 for $25k correctly. He'll have double dip left.
April 12-16: Steve Harvey guest host week.
April 19-23: Repeats.
April 26-30: Standard episodes.

My prediction for Constance is the third or fourth week of May. This is based on tape dates - I don't have any hard facts about May's schedule yet.

Thanks for the info! I was wondering how you would handle the stats if you did not find out how she finished. I was surprised they didn't cut out or trim down someone's appearance (e.g. the PSM "donut hole") instead.

I'm keeping an eye for when the May schedule comes out to see if I'll need a sub transcriber on the 25th or if we get repeats.

Does anyone have any info about LJ Miller, the contestant who was the last player on Dec 4 (the Regis guest host week)? He answered 4 questions, then the horn blew. His carryover segment hasn't aired yet.

Steve Harvey, who is hosting the 4/12-4/16 week of WWTBAM shows, will take over for John O'Hurley on Family Feud starting this Fall. Feud is moving production from LA to Universal Studios Orlando. Taping begins in July on what will be the 12th season of this longest-running incarnation of Feud.

Doesn't look good
Regis's shows taped last November 3. November 4's shows aired the week of March 22.

LJ Miller's holdover segment came today in the middle of the show with Mere hosting. This means a better chance to see Constance Boardman again as she might be slipped in the way LJ Miller was.

Constance Boardman will be back in the hot seat on Monday, June 14, leading off the final two weeks of season 8. There's two weeks of repeats after this week (ending May 28).

Zap2It.COM currently shows that the first week of repeats will be the episodes originally aired from 1/04/2010 through 1/08/2010.

Interestingly, it also shows the leadoff repeat the following week to be the one from 12/04/2006. Usually, repeats are from earlier in the current season. I don't know why they are going back to 2006 for this one. From what I can tell, Mark Mester won $25k and Amy Reuther blew the $1k question. Nothing really noteworthy...
