It is now possible to embed YouTube videos in Bored posts.

Here's the syntax for the tags:
The link to a YouTube video that you would see in the address line of your web browser should look something like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Hgbe-YN11o

Simply place the YouTube link between the YouTube tags, and the video will be embedded into the post.


NOTE: There are other variations of the YouTube link, including the one typically included in the Embed link on a YouTube video, which looks something like this:

http://www.youtube.com/v/4Hgbe-YN11o

This link WILL NOT WORK. The link must contain "watch?v="....i.e. youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxxxxxxxx. As I said, that's the way the link typically appears in the address line of your web browser.


And before anyone asks.....

No, there is no YouTube button yet.

Actually, creating the tag was the easy part. The tricky part will be putting a YouTube button up there next to the spoiler buttons, as that has to be done separately (to a degree) for each of the different theme templates in use on the Bored. I'll take a crack at that this weekend.
