Those of you with long memories will remember the message with the same title that I posted 5 years and 3 months ago. You may also remember what happened the next day.

On Thursday, May 13, 2004, I posted the list of contestants who would be on Super Millionaire on Sunday, May 16. The title of the post was "The lucky 10." The next morning, I myself got the call to be on the show that aired on Monday, May 17.

Here's an article about him. He sounds old enough to be your dad, Chad. As are so many of us.

http://www.mlive.com/news/flint/index.s ... nship.html
Cousins, an industrial engineer, qualified to be on the show by calling in and answering a Fast Finger question. He was then placed in a pool with other contestants that correctly answered the question and was lucky enough to be among those chosen to appear.

"I've always wanted to be on a game show. Ten years ago when it first aired I tried out. I got the questions right but never got a call. That's why it was so shocking to get this call," said Cousins.

Possible spoiler/investigative speculation from the article:
Spoiler
Because of contest rules, Cousins can't reveal how he did on the show or even if he was able to make it into the hot seat by winning the fastest finger competition -- although photos supplied by ABC show him in the contestants chair.
Spoiler
Perhaps they staged the Hot Seat photo for publicity purposes?

I suppose one of the bb's who were in the ROF could confirm whether or not they took a photo in the hotseat before the audience was let in.

I was thinking that, too, until I noticed that both the audience and Regis are in the picture, too. I don't know if he'd sit for 10 of those...

Oops. I should have checked out the photo. They did not stage those at the taping I attended. Ergo, he must have made the hotseat.

Well.

I am shocked, shocked that ABC's publicity department distributed a spoiler!
