I count 33 that I recognize as what I call a BB. Not that I am not hoping the others get a shot.

I just have my own priorities.

I also wonder if there are 'old BBs' who played and of they get the call, we will hear from them then?!

Well it almost could happen. The thing is that only five can fill the first date and no more than ten could fill a subsequent date, so the best we could do strictly from the phone pool is 52.

I'd settle for a BB in every RoF.

For the 2nd time in one morning, I agree with pea. Behold the unifying effects of a Phone Game!

In general, I don't think that simply posting that one is OTC makes one a BB (even though I know a few of them personally). I'm not sure exactly what makes one a BB, but that doesn't quite do it. In the past, I've posted similar comments about Bob#'s annual audition thread.

And I've only been posting on the Bored for about 4 years. Since I don't date back to the original days of Regis, am I even a BB?

Sure you are, slam!

First of all, the OTC list includes BBs and BBBs.

Second, we've always said that anyone who posts on the Bored (in any of its incarnations) becomes a BB.

Third, some BBs are more a part of this community than others. Like you said, slam, there are some whose first post comes after getting their Happy Card (or after getting The Call!), and who vanish soon after their taping. We may root for these newbies, but it can be forgiven if the rooting is not as heartfelt as it is for those who have been sharing the quest with the rest of us for years and years.

Bob - you have a good memory! My husband did get called, but it was for the one taping week of the whole year when he couldn't go, so he had to turn them down. He's still in the pool though, so we have high hopes he'll get called for the primetime edition. Thanks for asking!

It looks like they filled July 31 and then August 3 sequentially, but you might still be in the running for an August 3 slot!

I don't think they're actually looking at the order of our list!
