I didn't have trouble with the first three questions, but thenar was the only choice I could eliminate on the $100K question, so it would have been Google PAF time for me. Jim Cramer was no help at all again; as you noticed, frontalis sounded a little too obvious for that level.

I'll be interested to hear Eddington's comments on lifeline usage - he indicated that he was familiar with "Escoffier" but couldn't place it. Without TDC® he might well have come up with the answer on his own.

From the way that Eddington phrased the question I figured his PAF was Googling and I'd like to hear more about this. "Frontalis" seems like the obvious answer but given the dollar value, obvious isn't always right. I didn't think the "expert" would be able to answer, but Eddington didn't have much choice. As for me, I know the thenar is in the wrist and the sartorius is in the leg, so it would be time for a DD on A and B.

$100K: I can eliminate sartorius (leg muscle), but that's it. PAF. Jim's explanation of the choices made absolutely no sense... yet somehow, he had the right answer. That was amazing. But I still hate that guy.

Thanks everybody! To answer a few questions in one omnibus post:

- I was very very calm, and wasn't really nervous except for my phone a friend...I was more nervous for him! He was googling (Phone-A-Google!) but didn't get it in time, he said if he had had 35 seconds he could have come up with it. I stammered for a second on the question, so I'll take the fall there.

- The double-dip on 25K was clock-related, though once again, I wouldn't blame the clock per se. I should have gotten this. My goal with the questions was to come up with an answer before the four choices were displayed, so as to avoid evil distractors. My immediate thought was "Gibraltar, thus UK". Obviously I missed the word "Mainland" in the question! After figuring out the answer, I knew it was Iberian but I couldn't convince myself to pull the trigger on Spain, and since I was at about 11 seconds, I went ahead and burned the double dip. I probably would have used the DD on the 100k question and gone Frontalis/Gracilius...then again, it's all hindsight.

- I was almost sure about Chefs on 50k. I burned the ATA because it's not that useful above 50k, plus I wanted time to think about and eliminate Architects (It's the Pritzker I think...I had read about awards in prepping for the show but couldnt remember the Architectural one). Lucky for me, the audience backed up my hunch, too!

- After my PAF didnt come through for me on the frontalis, I went ahead and used ATE...why not? I wasn't going to risk it, since I could only rule out sartorius for sure. As it stands, 50k is good money. I wish I had done better, but it's all good. It was great to get the opportunity.

- I had a contingent of eight people who flew to NYC from Houston just to watch my taping. While I don't expect all of them to get face time, it would have been nice if they had made time to at least acknowledge my parents, who were my on-air companions. They gave tons of facetime to the other guys' wife and three kids. They are darling, but come on. BTW...if you are trying to get on the show...I think the fact that they totally ignored any personal information about me, and doted on the wife and kids of the underwear salesman gives a very strong indication of what the producers are looking for!!

Although if one were to consider a British Overseas Territory as part of Great Britain then that would be the best answer. Not that it was an option. Making Spain the best available option...

Would have been a good stack for me although I don't recall off hand how I would have done in the first part of it. The sartorius muscle or "tailor's" muscle is the one you use to cross your legs (sartorial splendor anyone?). The thenar muscle is in the base of the thumb and the gracilis is perhaps the most difficult/obscure as it is another long thin muscle in the thigh next to the sartorius.

But I agree the frontalis seems a bit obvious. However it seems that while the 8K-25K Q's tend to be tough on CindyBAM the 50K often seems to be less tough although I don't have any data to support it. I gues if you can survive the gauntlet to 25K TPTB don't seem to mind giving you a reasonable shot at 50K as a reward.

Hmm, perhaps I am the geo nitwit afterall! I have always taken it as fact that Europa Point in Gibraltar is the closest point in Europe to Africa. But Google Earth seems to suggest that the Spanish coast near Tarifa, west of Gibraltar, is closer to the African coast of Morocco than is Europa Point.

Congratulations!! I think one priority the show seems to have of late, which I think is a good thing, is that the contestants will use at least some of the money won for a good cause. Using the money to help with family needs definitely qualifies for a "good cause."

Tough break on the anatomy question. If it's any consolation, I'm paying $40,000 to learn where the frontalis is, so you're still coming out ahead.
