I had difficulty sleeping last night so I'm a little groggy this morning, which is exacerbated by a bit of queasiness that I'm feeling as well. But it's the first of the month and there reports to be run and data calls to be answered, so I must soldier on.

The bus stop where I board each morning is in front of a Catholic elementary school with a ground-level marquee listing upcoming events. One of the events was a skating party; I was sorely tempted to go over and rearrange the letters so that it would read "Skaping Party", but I thought better of the notion.

I hope you're not getting that norovirus that's been running around these parts. Boss had it, I think I had a touch of it, our marketing guy just got back from his sick leave. Not real fun.

My grogginess is due to one of Murphy's Law's many corollaries - Battery-operated smoke alarms always start emitting their low battery signal between 2 and 4 AM.

Believe me, I seriously thought about that. I'd have used my cell phone camera to get a shot and then uploaded it.

Thanks. It's my new favorite over at the LOL News section of icanhascheezburger.com. Most are smile-worthy, but this one was truly an LOL.
