What they had that elephant doing seemed obscene for the family viewing hour!

I thought it seemed awfully short, what with there being no Road Block this week. elwing wondered if they had one but it didn't work so they didn't show it. Poor Mel and Mike - their experience just goes to show that luck plays a big part in the outcome. It didn't help that they got the right advice about the gorilla statue and disregarded it. The cheerleaders also had a run of bad luck, being the last to find the clue at the herb shop despite being the second to arrive. The "tweedles" (Mark and Michael) were very efficient in their efforts - too efficient, I guess. Messing with the air pumps was a little petty (and ended up costing them a 30-minute penalty and a 1st place finish); I didn't realize that they couldn't ask their cab driver to lead them until a later couple (Victor and Tammy?) said something to that effect to their driver. Mark and Michael lost another 30 minutes, pushing them to 3rd overall. They were quite far ahead - if they had only suffered one of the penalties they'd still have finished first. The second team to arrive was 55 minutes behind.

Presumably Margie will recover from her bout with dehydration/heat exhaustion.

I wonder if the tiger handler was the zoo's idea of a joke?

One of the teams did make a joke about it, and another (or maybe it was the same one) - the cheerleaders - remarked that the "tweedles" were bite-sized and about the size of the man's arm.

I've been wondering how Mark and Michael managed to get such a big lead, before their penalties. Most of them got to the zoo together, but I think the problem was that the two things they had to do there had to be done one team at a time. That magnifies a slight lead into a big one, as everyone else has to wait their turn. But I guess you don't want to rush a tiger.

Then they probably picked up some more time with their sabotage. Did everyone else go through that race with a half-inflated tire?

If others did have tire problems they didn't make a point of it.

But the stunt jockeys mave have also gained more time by finishing the rickshaw task faster as they appeared to be the only ones that ran most of the way. I thought the penalty for messing with the pumps was petty at best unless it was specifically defined somewhere. Which it may be. Of course messing with them in the first place seemd petty not to mention a waste of time. They deserved the other one if it was clearly spelled out in the clue.

It was the sisters who joked about the stunt jockeys being bite sized.

The heat exhaustion could be a real problem for Margie as once you have it you could be prone to it again if you aren't fully recovered. She will need to excercise caution as Bangkok isn't likely to be much better.

They shot this season in only 22 days so they may have decided that in some episodes they can't do both a roadblock and a spoiler. It took pretty much a full day just to get there from Jaipur. But it did seem to be a fast episode without it.
