Wedding Week

Bryan Prock & Ally Bourbeau
Lawrenceville, GA

Bryan and Ally met at a sporting goods store. Bryan thought Ally was out of his league, so he never approached her until he finally came with some smooth lines like "Who are you voting for, for president?" and "How's the weather outside?" A shout-out to one of our Merry Men!

$8K: Not sure on this one. I better ask the audience.

I think you're mistaken, Nelly. They were next to me when we were waiting for our second interview at the Baltimore auditions. Someone asked them why they came to Baltimore instead of auditioning in Atlanta, and Bryan said they hadn't heard about them in time, and that they weren't engaged at that time, anyway.

I'm sorry to see that they only walked away with $4,000. They were very nice and Ally is one of the most beautiful people I have ever met in real life.

First $4,000 winners of the season. The way things were going this season I wasn't expecting to see anybody win that amount of money this season.

Has this really become such an old-fashioned word that it's completely unfamiliar to a wide swath of people?

Side note -- this was the word that took me down in my seventh-grade spelling bee. I knew what the word meant when I heard it then, and I haven't misspelled it since.

This was just a lousy question. I know what a trousseau is - it was mentioned many times while I was growing up and more so when I was engaged. I still wasn't sure of the answer. None of them made any sense. My trousseau consisted of a cedar chest given to me by my future hubby for Christmas - it was a sign that he was going to propose soon. My trousseau consisted of blankets, towels, dishes, silverware - that type of thing. Never clothes! Who wrote this question? They should be shot.

Then I guess it was a different Bryan and Ally who were called up for the AP interview several minutes before me.

I didn't think "trousseau" was such an old-fashioned term, either. Darn shame. A teacher and a QC person, both areas near and dear to my heart. And $2500 doesn't go very far when it comes to furniture, at least if you want quality and durability.

Meredith reminds Bryan and Ally that they have the Double Dip. Ally asks Bryan if he wants to risk it. Bryan asks what Ally thinks.
This does not bode well for post-wedding drives if they don't quite know the directions. :)

Maybe they should spend some of that $4,000 on a GPS?

I guess that's why they call hiim "Mr. Smooth."

Geez, brides.com, $2,500 won't buy much - how about giving them at least as much as the Vespa was worth?

If they'd had more time Bryan might have been able to convince Ally not to burn a lifeline needlessly.

I guess in this day and age "trousseaus" are a thing of the past, not even mentioned in bridal magazines. Surely they could have associated the word with "trousers" and figured it out. But not with TDC® ticking away.

Put it in the gift registry.

I can foresee problems choosing TV shows and movies at the multiplex, too. "What do you want to watch, dear?" "I don't know, what do you want to watch?"
