On their faces, many of these categories scare me.

Unless that customer is comedian Rush Limbaugh. Rush is (not) right.

I guess I had nothing to worry about. Nihil obstat® stack.

No problems getting up to $16K.

25K: I think it might be C or D, but I'll ask the audience. Since they give me an indefinite percentage, I'll double dip on the two that I think.

I'd be going for $50K with PAF and ATE intact.

Even though we generally just call it a twenty-sider. 8)

I presume that Mere's reminder about the unused lifelines didn't register at all with Mary. That's a shame, because I'm sure Ashleigh would have been a great expert on geometric figures.

Here's an article about Mary's appearance.

http://www.gloucestertimes.com/punews/l ... 25100.html

Quote:
Flaherty, who vowed to take her family on a trip to Finland this year, said she didn't use her "Ask the Expert" lifeline because she didn't think the expert, Ashleigh Banfield, an international reporter and co-host of "Banfield & Ford: Courtside" on Tru-TV, would know the answer.

That may be true, but why not let her take a shot at it, if you're just going to walk away anyway? (And Ashleigh surprised me, knowing two of the four element symbols, yesterday.)

I wonder why the Flaherty family wants to visit Finland? :)

Here's another paragraph about Mary's appearance. It turns out she was on Jeopardy! ten years ago.

http://www.boston.com/ae/celebrity/arti ... llionaire/

Quote:
But the director of paralegal studies, who claims she has "a head full of useless information," bombed out on this question: "How many sides does an icosahedron have?" "I called my brother and he was trying to Google it, but he couldn't type fast enough," she said. "He feels terrible. He won't even watch the show."

Google PAFs need to practice! Maybe spelling icosahedron would have helped him.

Quote:
But Flaherty has no regrets. She's taking one daughter on a trip to Finland, buying her other daughter a cat, and said she had a great time. "What's so terrible about that?"

Well, there seems to be a little disparity in those gifts, for one. :P
