That article he linked to about the international women's bridge team holding up a hastily-made, hand-lettered sign on the winners' podium mentioned that a number of folkses are wearing the buttons to tournaments and aren't getting any grief from tournament officials.
Actually the bumper stickers are quite common around here, but I've seen only one T-shirt and no buttons.
