Yes; I took the 30 question test, had a brief interview with an associate producer, and had an "on camera" interview with Liz (it was really casual on her iPhone). We went through two practice questions, similar to the green room practice, and a quick interview.

You're probably sequestered away already, but good luck today to you and Andrew!

I auditioned August 12 at TCONA, no video. It was much more difficult than the one test I've taken before, and KT said it was the most difficult he'd ever taken, but I'm pretty sure the pass rate was still over 50%, maybe way over. I wish I'd been paying better attention, but I was still filling out my application. I know of four attendees who got the happy e-mail. Three of those (not KT, yet) have had to put out a call for an emergency Plus One, because they're taping this week!

I got my call yesterday at about 5PM EST to tape on August 24th. So excited and a little freaked out since I have only a week before taping and so so much to do!! I got my plan ticket but need a hotel room. What hotel(s) do people recommend?

You are there for Millionaire and nothing else...stay at Bally's so you don't have to lug your clothes around. You need to take the clothes on your back, plus two other changes of clothes; and your +1 must do the same.

Otherwise, the only convenient way to deal with the clothes situation is to take a cab back and forth; could be four cab rides. Weigh that cost of a cheaper place with simply staying at Bally's.

Congratulations! Have fun, it's a blast. I'd recommend being pretty generous with your bookings- there have been a steady amount of carryovers every day and it's probably unlikely that you'll film on your first tape date (from my experience this weekend).

I'll second Bally's- it's really convenient to have the studio right downstairs. You should be able to get a good rate midweek, and if you use the "MILLION" promo code they give you a discount too. Use the links here:

I got my sad email today from auditioning at TCONA on the 12th. It was expected since I didn't get the video interview, and I'm now 0 for 3 this year. But it was a blast just being at TCONA and it was great meeting some of the Bored members for the first time.

I haven't heard anything from my audition July 28th, the day after (Friday) and Monday morning my email was down. Would they have sent my sad email that quickly?

I check my spam every time since that is where my sad email went 3 years ago.
I don't know about getting the emails, the tech guy didn't know, but I did hear from someone that sent me one that they got an invaild email auto response.
I guess I'll assume I didn't make it since I wasn't put on video.

It's amazing that they are still holding auditions on the last day of taping. In recent years, has anyone ever been on the show as a result of an audition during the previous season? I have a good friend (actually more than one) who is "in the pool" after auditioning at TCONA, but that seems to have been just a false hope. They have a hard time finding enough audience members for the tapings, so it appears that the main purpose of these auditions is just putting warm bodies in the studio seats. I certainly hope there will be another season, but there are no guarantees.

One of the contestants who taped my tape day auditioned in New York at the end of last season, so it's possible. Of course, that didn't stop me from auditioning 4 years in a row even though I was already in the contestant pool each year. It paid off for me this year.

Well bad news for me. Out of approximately 33 people who tested in my group, only ONE passed the test - - and it wasn't me. I believe I only missed (guessed) three questions. I did find out that the test is apparently easier at the beginning of the filming season, and it's harder at the end of the filming season (makes sense, since they don't need as many contestants at the end) - - and I tested on the second to last day of filming for the season. I'll try again next year... Good luck everyone!
