This brings up an interesting bit of trivia I've known for years. Aldous Huxley and C.S. Lewis died the same day and I will probably always remember that day. It's not that I've memorized the death dates of celebrities, or that I committed their deaths to memory when they occurred (I was in junior high school at the time and probably hadn't heard of either one of them). But that day was November 22, 1963, and their deaths and obituary notices were considerably overshadowed by the JFK assassination. But now a number of trivia buffs remember the dates of their deaths, even though they probably don't remember very many of the other famous deaths that year, let alone the day of those deaths.
